Breakfast in hotel. We start our tour with a walk through the historic markets of Palermo: Capo, Vucciria, following the steps of the Unesco itinerary, passing by the most important monuments of the city. Return to your hotel, overnight.
After breakfast you will visit Monte Pellegrino, described by Goethe as the most beautiful promontory in the world. Your leader will show you the Sanctuary dedicated to Saint Rosalia, patron saint of Palermo, created in the rock. The walk is exciting and offers a stunning view over Palermo and the whole coast. Today you will be transferred to San Vito Lo Capo, a small seaside resort in north-western Sicily famous for the beach overlooking a sheltered bay dominated from above by Monte Monaco. Downtown, the Sanctuary of San Vito (15th century) is a fortress-like structure with Arab-Norman architecture. Arab-Norman influences are also evident in the tiny Chapel of Santa Crescenzia, on the main road leading out of the city, and in the Torrazzo, a circular tower. Relax in your room or at the beach. From the village of San Vito Lo Capo you will climb up to the entrance of the Zingaro Nature Reserve. Your walking excursion will begin from the northern part where a beautiful and evocative walk will take you along some paths with Mediterranean spots and charming groves. You will pass by several coves and wonderful panoramas and, if you wish, you can have a bath in the crystalline waters. Admire the colors of the sea and discover the charming views the Gulf offers you.
A private transfer will take you to Monte Cofano Reserve to have a walk in this pristine area. You can admire wonderful panoramas and get a glimpse of wild nature extending along the gulf. Time at disposal to visit the Grotta Mangiapane. Return to your accommodation and overnight,
After breakfast you will reach Erice, a charming little medioeval village, perched on the homonymous mount. It has a Castle on top with a superb view over the Stagnone Lagoon and the Egadi islands. Erice is also famous for almond biscuits. Return to your accommodation and overnight.
After breakfast, time at leasure. Transfer to Palermo Airporto to catch your flight home.
